The artwork on the nine Heroes insert cards (#10-18) was painted by sports artist Vernon Wells Jr., who also illustrated the Reggie Jackson set.

Ryan signed all 2,500 copies in blue Sharpie. His signature was generally consistent, making condition premiums less steep than on some other sets.

The set was seeded into 1991 Upper Deck Low Series packs at roughly one per 150 boxes.
