Card #0800 is one of the 25 "Mr. October" inscription copies in the set. Every serial number ending in 00 (#100, #200 through #2,500) carries this inscription.

This card set the template for every pack-inserted autograph that followed in the modern hobby. No insert autograph had been randomly seeded into hobby packs at scale before 1990.

This is the first modern pack-inserted autograph card ever produced, released in 1990 Upper Deck High Series packs at roughly one per 148 boxes.

The artwork on all nine Heroes insert cards (#1-9) was painted by sports artist Vernon Wells Jr.
